Overview of the Federal Framework to Reduce Recidivism with Catherine Latimer

SLSC is excited to share the first webinar in our new Community Connections webinar series. This webinar, hosted by SLSC and originally presented on September 12, 2025, features Catherine Latimer, Executive Director of John Howard Society of Canada, as the guest speaker. It focuses on the Federal Framework to Reduce Recidivism (FFRR) – a government initiative designed to address factors related to reoffending, and to supporting safe and successful community integration for people who have been incarcerated. Catherine takes a closer look at the purpose behind the legislation, what impact it has had so far, and how it can inform real, systemic change.

Our new webinar series, of which this is the first instalment, will feature various guest speakers exploring what’s working, what’s possible, and what still needs to change on key social and criminal justice issues.
