What members have to say:
“In short, it's an affiliation with an association comprised of organizations with the same goals, values and mission… The value that the national office brings to Trenton, is having dedicated people in our profession that has our back, helps with research and project development. I have never had a stronger sense of partnership as I do with the national team and other homes in our network. We are all in it together and for a common goal. That, I can’t put a price on.”
“The support [is] invaluable and… helps keep me informed about the national scene and…I feel my interests are being promoted at the national level. The support amongst other houses is also invaluable."
“The reason for wanting SLSC as an affiliate was because of what SLSH had to contribute over and above our affiliation fees… We continue to see a strong benefit and real value to affiliation… SLSC with Anita's leadership has latched onto issues that are central to multiple affiliates and found ways to lend SLSC support and bring these issues to the highest levels of government and CSC in Ottawa... Through research papers and fostering collaboration, SLSC affiliates are able to share in the learning, experience and best practices of others.”
